Our compassionate caregivers can assist with bathing and showering, including bed-baths. Oral hygiene, haircare, applying lotions and creams, nail care and foot care.
Sunrise has a licensed cosmetologist on our team. We are able to bring spa services to your home such as haircare, manicures and pedicures.
Our dependable caregivers are happy to assist in your grocery shopping. Our team can shop for you or transport you to the store and assist you as needed. Sunrise has some talented cooks on our team and can cook you a meal of your choosing. We also provide light housekeeping such as: washing the dishes, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning the bathroom and laundry.
Prescription organization is a service Sunrise offers. Our knowledgeable caregivers are experienced in setting medications and administering them correctly. We will provide medications sheets.
Our skilled caregivers are skilled in Dementia care with assisting in providing choices, simple instructions, reducing distractions and creating a safe environment. Music therapy has been shown as a powerful treatment strategy in dementia. Music has a long-term effect on depression associated with dementia and key brain areas linked to music memory are less damaged by the disease. For example, Sunrise has a client that loves Elvis when his music is played, she almost instantly relaxes and starts to sing. There are clients where music is not a good option and those are identified quickly.
Our team of compassionate caregivers can assist by keeping your loved one at home at the end of their lives, where friends and family can come and go as they please. While keeping the client in their familiar surroundings. Sunrise works alongside of many local Hospices to achieve the highest level of comfort. We can take on tasks for the families to allow them more time with their loved one.
Hello,
I am happy to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Jennifer Windish, and I founded Sunrise Comfort Care in 2020. Leading the team beside me is my partner Sarah Webb-Newcombe.
Sarah and I along with skilled caregivers provide services to keep your loved ones safe and cared for in their home.
I have been a caregiver for 30 + years, with experience in serving terminally-ill patients, including assisting with activities of daily living and household tasks. Along with private caregiving, I previously worked as a CHPNA in hospice for 21 years. I have realized the great need for compassionate caregivers.
Sarah has an extensive history in caregiving, including end-of-life care, skilled nursing facilities, and private caregiving.
We both have a passion for dementia care and have received extra training in this area. I have been a proud member of the Champions Club for the annual Alzheimers Walk.
